Job summary

MultiMedical Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team in Long Beach, CA on a part-time basis. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of biomedical equipment to ensure patient safety and optimal performance.

The hourly rate is $30. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based biomedical equipment maintenance/repair experience.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass background and drug screen.

• Regulatory knowledge (TJC, DNV, CAP, DOH)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on medical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Order and install replacement parts as needed.

• Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals.
