Qualifications

• Master’s in any biological science OR Bachelor’s in any biological science AND Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science OR the equivalent.
• A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• The adjunct instructor should be prepared to teach a wide range of Biology courses within the Biological Sciences discipline, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
• The successful candidate will be culturally responsive in interactions with students, staff, faculty and community members who span a diverse range of languages, nationalities and ethnicities, socio-economic levels, ages, identities, abilities and educational experiences.
• REMOTE LEARNING: Faculty may be required to conduct classes in a virtual learning environment using Canvas or other methods of remote learning.
