JOB DESCRIPTION

The Central Pennsylvania Research and Teaching Laboratory for Biofuels (CPRTLB) is looking to hire part‑time research assistants to assist with metabolic engineering of industrial hemp.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of tissue culture media, growth hormones and culture of explants under sterile conditions.
• Assist with DNA, RNA and protein isolation.
• Routine upkeep of the laboratory and greenhouse.
• Collect, analyze data and participate in publishing papers as a co‑author.
• Assist with working on cancer cell lines and engineering cannabinoid pathway genes in E. coli.
• Assist PI and Director of the laboratory with other duties as assigned.
