Responsibilities

• Carry out classroom activities under the supervision of a classroom teacher and work with students to reinforce material.
• Assist individual students in need of special attention.
• Perform clerical duties such as checking and recording attendance, notebooks, correcting papers, assisting in testing, and setting up equipment.
• Assist with non-instructional duties such as snack, restroom and clothing routines.
• Assist with reading, storytelling, and listening to students read aloud.
• Supervise students during lunch, assemblies, play periods and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
