Job summary

FashionUnited is seeking a Beauty Advisor to drive sales through authentic passion for beauty and by engaging clients with a consultative approach. You will maintain expert knowledge of top beauty brands and support visual standards per Sephora at Kohl’s guidelines.

You’ll build client loyalty, demonstrate products and trends, and participate in training to expand product knowledge while ensuring store standards and inventory processes are upheld.

• Must have a genuine passion for beauty and be able to engage clients with confidence.
• Experience in client-facing retail or service roles is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence customers.

Responsibilities

• Build strong client loyalty by identifying needs and driving product recommendations.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and beauty trends to clients.
• Demonstrate products and applications to showcase results and upsell when appropriate.
• Complete training to expand product knowledge and sell-through.
• Execute Sephora at Kohl's visual merchandising standards and maintain hygiene and order.
• Support inventory processes from receipt to sale, including replenishment and price changes.
• Assist with omni-channel processing within the department and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Maintain department cleanliness and communicate damaged product or fixtures to leadership.
• Adhere to safety policies and company guidelines at all times.
• Respond to direction from leaders promptly and professionally.

Job description

As Beauty Advisor, you will drive sales through an authentic passion for beauty and engage clients by identifying their needs with a consultative approach and ensure an excellent overall client experience. You will maintain expert knowledge of top beauty brands, execute merchandise sets and support replenishment and visual standards according to Sephora at Kohl’s standards.

What You’ll Do

Build strong client loyalty and influence clients by identifying their needs and suggesting products to drive sales, including the opportunity to upsell products

Demonstrate credibility to the client through knowledge of products and beauty trends

Inspire clients through demonstrating products and application of products to drive sales

Actively engage and complete all required training to expand knowledge

Execute and maintain all Sephora visual merchandising and operational standards, including merchandise sets, tester maintenance and department cleanliness and hygiene standards

Support omni-processing within the department

Support inventory management from receipt to sale, including freight processing, back stocking, replenishment, inventory counts and price changes

Support visual elements of the department and communicate missed or damaged product/fixtures to the supervisor
