Job summary

AC Marriott Burlington is seeking a friendly, customer service focused Bartender for a part-time role in Burlington, VT. You must be detail oriented, able to work independently and in a team, and possess strong communication skills.

Your duties include taking orders, preparing drinks, verifying IDs, handling cash, and delivering a memorable guest experience in a fast-paced setting. Flexible afternoons/evenings and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years employment experience in a related position (bartender, server)
• Sufficient manual dexterity to handle knives, glassware, bottles and stock
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment while on your feet
• Excellent organizational skills and initiative in a team setting
• Good communication skills and ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work onsite and hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in the English language

Responsibilities

• Verify ID and age requirements
• Handle cash, make change, total guest checks and perform basic cash drops
• Take food and drink orders and prepare beverages
• Make recommendations and answer menu questions
• Greet guests and provide a memorable guest experience
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and equipment
• Perform side-work and assist with special requests
• Support team and work in a fast-paced environment
