Job summary

El Roblar Investment Property Manager LLC is seeking a friendly, efficient Barista to join our hospitality team. You will prepare espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages, greet guests, take orders, and ensure a welcoming experience.

Work will be in a fast-paced setting, requiring attention to detail, accuracy in transactions, and collaboration with the Food & Beverage team to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, coffee shop, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee brewing techniques preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Greet guests warmly, take orders, answer questions, and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, brewing equipment, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and available alternatives.
• Ensure beverages are prepared accurately and presented attractively.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee station, equipment, counters, and service areas.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other supplies as needed.
• Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and preparing the station for the next shift.
• Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Respond professionally to guest concerns and notify a supervisor when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
