Morton Community Bank (MCB) seeks a part-time teller in Springfield, IL. The role handles daily transactions, promotes bank products, and delivers courteous service to customers. This position offers around 20 hours per week with ESOP benefits and a range of part-time perks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some clerical, administrative, cash handling, sales or customer service experience preferred.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced banking environment.

Responsibilities

Identify customers and accurately manage various transactions, including validating and cashing checks, accepting cash and/or checks for deposit, receiving and counting working cash, and processing cash withdrawals.
Prepare cashier's checks, personal money orders, and exchanging foreign currency.
Provide services such as ordering bank cards and checks for customers.
Receive and verify loan payments and mortgage payments.
Balance currency, cash, and checks in the cash drawer at end of each day.
Answer inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank products.
Other duties as assigned.
