Job summary

Boundless Care Inc. is seeking warm, dependable Babysitters / Child Caregivers to support families across Alameda County. This is a part-time, flexible position with opportunities based on family needs and your availability.

As a Babysitter / Child Caregiver, you may care for newborns to school-aged children, follow parents’ routines, and provide safe, engaging activities at the family’s home. 18+ and experience preferred; TrustLine, TB test, and valid work authorization encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience caring for children preferred (babysitting, nannying, daycare, teaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or caring for younger family members).
• Reliable, attentive, patient, warm, and professional with children and families.
• Comfortable following family routines and detailed care instructions.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid SSN.
• TrustLine registration or willingness to complete the required process.
• Valid TB test or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliable transportation or access to transportation.
• Flexible or open availability is a plus, as assignments depend on family requests.
• Bilingual or multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing, and attentive care in the family’s home.
• Supervise children and ensure their safety during care sessions.
• Infant care including bottle-feeding, diaper changes, soothing, and nap supervision.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities (reading, sensory play, crafts, games, education).
• Follow parents’ instructions, routines, nap schedules, and care preferences.
• Prepare simple meals and snacks and assist with feeding as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized play or care area.
• Light tidying related to children and activities.
• Communicate with parents about child’s activities, meals, naps, behavior, and observations.
• Provide additional support for children with special needs within your experience.

About the Role

As a Babysitter / Child Caregiver, you may provide care for children ranging from newborns to school-aged children.

Responsibilities may include

• Providing safe, nurturing, and attentive care in the family’s home.
• Supervising children and ensuring their safety throughout the care session.
• Infant care, including bottle-feeding, diaper changes, soothing, and nap supervision.
• Engaging children in age-appropriate activities such as reading, sensory play, crafts, games, and educational activities.
• Following parents’ instructions, household routines, nap schedules, and care preferences.
• Preparing simple meals and snacks and assisting with feeding as needed.
• Helping maintain a clean and organized play or care area.
• Light tidying related to the children and activities completed during the shift.
• Communicating with parents regarding the child’s activities, meals, naps, behavior, or other important observations.
• Providing additional support for children with special needs when appropriate and within your experience level.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience caring for children is preferred, including babysitting, nannying, daycare, teaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or caring for younger family members.
• Reliable, attentive, patient, warm, and professional when working with children and families.
• Comfortable following family routines and detailed care instructions.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid SSN.
• TrustLine registration, or willingness to complete the required registration process.
• Valid TB test or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliable transportation or dependable access to transportation.
• Flexible or open availability is a plus, as assignments are based on family requests.
• Bilingual or multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

These are not required, but are a plus:

• Experience caring for infants and toddlers.
• Experience with multiple children or sibling groups.
• Experience with children with special needs.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Coursework or education related to Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Teaching, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
