Job summary

LeadCar Honda Hamburg in PA is seeking a Part-Time Automotive Detailer to join its service team. You will clean, refurbish and prep vehicles to company standards, balancing speed with care.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, customer-facing professionalism, and willingness to perform cleaning and prep tasks on both new and used vehicles. Prior detailing experience is a plus; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Basic automotive knowledge required.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Past automotive detailing experience preferred.
• Experience using a buffer and carpet extractor preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must utilize effective time management skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at one time.
• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required for essential job functions and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner. Assist all customers promptly and professionally.
• Restores the appearance of vehicles to new or like new condition to the best of your ability.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface.
• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
• Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces.
• Uses touch up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials as needed.
