PetVet Care Centers is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join Des Moines Veterinary Hospital in Des Moines, Washington.

The ideal candidate will provide high‑quality veterinary care, build lasting client relationships, and collaborate with a team of veterinarians, technicians and support staff.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical workups.
• Client communication and education.
• Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties such as prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Work with the Hospital Manager on priorities.
• Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols.
• Attend daily rounds when possible.
• Participate in practice updates and training.
