Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent degree required.
• State licensure where you will practice.
• Ability to show compassion to pets and owners.
• Excellent dexterity handling animals with precision.
• Ability to think quickly and decide under pressure for animal welfare.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of animal behavior.
• Familiarity with medical technologies for diagnosis, surgery, and care.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to assess health and diagnose problems.
• Treat and dress wounds.
• Perform surgery as required.
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases.
• Operate diagnostic and medical equipment (e.g., x-ray).
• Advise owners about general care, conditions, and treatments.
• Prescribe medications as needed.
• Collaborate with team to provide high-quality care.
