Job summary

Grass Valley Veterinary Hospital, part of PetVet Care Centers, seeks a compassionate Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join a skilled team in Grass Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality veterinary care, communicate well with clients, and work closely with a Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college/university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent communication with the medical and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and provide education.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Handle pharmacy duties and controlled substances protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on priorities.
• Evaluate hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Monitor cases and participate in daily rounds when possible.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
