Job summary

CareVet's Animal Health Center of Scottsbluff, a partner hospital, seeks a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our small animal practice in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on a part-time basis.

This role offers a base salary plus production, a generous signing bonus, PTO, 401(k) match, a health care stipend, and supportive team collaboration. You will diagnose, treat, and perform surgery while advising clients and working with experienced doctors and staff in a community-focused hospital.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent degree required.
• State licensure in Nebraska or eligibility.
• Compassion for animals and owners.
• Dexterity and accuracy in handling animals.
• Ability to make quick, well-reasoned decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare.
• Comfort with medical technologies used for diagnosis and surgery.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to assess health and diagnose problems.
• Treat and dress wounds; perform surgery as needed.
• Test and vaccinate against diseases.
• Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines.
• Advise owners on general care and treatments.
• Prescribe medications and monitor progress.
• Collaborate closely with team to provide high-quality care.
