Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a compassionate Part Time Associate Veterinarian for Shoreland Animal Hospital in Northwest Ohio. You will provide high-quality veterinary care, work with a collaborative team of vets, technicians, and staff, and build lasting client relationships.

The ideal candidate has DVM/VMD, active state license, DEA registration, and 1+ years of practice, with strong diagnostic, surgical, dental, and communication skills. Flexible schedule and supportive mentorship offered.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college is required.
• Current State Veterinary License is required.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of veterinary practice experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical workups.
• Communicate with clients and educate on care plans.
• Perform diagnostics and surgery as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Handle pharmacy duties and adhere to controlled substances protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Monitor hospital protocols and daily operations.
• Attend rounds and participate in training as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
