Position Overview

Part‑time Veterinarian position at Animal Health Clinic in Manchester, TN. The role includes clinical duties on Thursdays, Fridays, and every other Saturday.

The clinic is a well‑established, full‑service small animal hospital serving Manchester and the surrounding Coffee County community for over 40 years. Services include preventive & wellness care, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care during business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
  • Client communication and education
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
  • Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
  • Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
  • Evaluate and monitor daily hospital protocols from intake to discharge
  • Monitor cases and attend daily rounds when possible
  • Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications (Required)
  • Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
  • Current State Veterinary License

  • Physical abilities: occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; moderate physical tasks; lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Clinical knowledge and skills in examining and assessing animals, including cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological and other examinations
  • Problem‑solving skills for managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital
  • Professionalism and constructive communication within a veterinary team
