Join our Store Operations Team as a Part-time Associate (Cashier)!

The Opportunity

The Part-Time Associate is the key to our success! Stores rely on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep shelves stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

1. Maintain assigned store sections, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure proper pricing, check product date codes for rotation, stock shelves, displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases. Prepare perishable products for sale if needed.
2. Set up advertising/promotional displays and review invoices for accuracy.
3. Maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by management.
4. Operate a cash register, process payments, give change, and handle refunds with management approval.
5. Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
6. Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
7. Assist customers to load purchases into their vehicles if requested.
8. Perform basic bookkeeping duties, record lost/damaged goods, and store supplies.

What You'll Bring

1. Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
2. Ability to understand simple instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
3. Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
4. Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
5. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds occasionally.
