Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Track & Field Coach in Manchester, NH to implement training programs for multi-events, throwing events, or other field events. You will report to the Director of Cross-Country and Track and Field and help build a competitive program while maintaining NCAA and conference compliance.

The role requires 10-20 hours per week with variable hours including nights and weekends for competitions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years coaching and/or personal athletic experience in multi-events or field events.
• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years coaching experience in multi-events, throwing events, or other field events.
• Hold a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive team vans to competitions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily training sessions for throwing events, including warm-up routines, technical drills and strength program assistance.
• Develop personalized training plans to help athletes achieve their goals.
• Provide guidance and feedback to athletes on proper techniques during training and at competitions.
• Motivate athletes to achieve their goals in a supportive and positive environment.
• Help recruit specific student-athletes involved in throwing events.
• Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and administrators to ensure track and field program success.
• Provide mentorship and support for student-athletes, focusing on academic, athletic, and personal development.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, NE10 Conference, and SNHU policies and regulations.

Position:

Part-Time Assistant Track & Field Coach

You will report to the Director of Cross-Country and Track and Field and implement training programs for multi-events, throwing events, or other field events. (SNHU does not field a men's track & field team.)

Work Hours:

10-20 hours per week. Practice times can vary depending on the season and athlete class schedule, but we ask that you are able to travel and work variable hours, including nights and weekends for some competitions.

Compensation:

• The hourly pay range for this position is $14.43 - $23.10.
• Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
• We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $15.95 - $21.58.
