Job summary

ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY in Moon, Virginia, is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach to support the Head Coach and full-time staff in training, development, and competition operations. This non-benefit eligible role is limited to 950 hours per calendar year and generally no more than 29 hours a week, with required evenings and weekends during the season.

Responsibilities include planning sessions, player development, game prep, recruiting, travel coordination, equipment, and promoting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent elite-level playing or coaching experience may be considered.
• 1–2 years coaching at collegiate/high-school varsity or elite club level, or 2–4 years playing at collegiate level.
• Advanced knowledge of technical skill development, tactical systems, and NCAA compliance.
• Proficiency in soccer video analysis software and strong recruiting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct training sessions.
• Support individual and team player development.
• Assist with game preparation, scouting, film review, and opponent analysis.
• Assist with on-field coaching during training and competition.
• Support recruiting efforts and campus visits in line with NCAA rules.
• Coordinate practice setup, equipment, travel, and other admin tasks.
• Promote team culture, academics, and accountability.
• Maintain professional communication with staff, alumni, and stakeholders.
• Ensure NCAA, conference, and university policy compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
