We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and support the team as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the manager.
- Handle opening and closing the store, ensuring security and readiness.
- Operate the register, process sales, and utilize your fandom knowledge to promote additional sales through benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, manage register closeouts and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry.
- Support store maintenance by keeping the stockroom organized and the store tidy.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining a passionate, collaborative team.
- Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience; a love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
