Job summary

Burns Jr./Sr. High School is seeking an Assistant JH Volleyball Numbers Coach in Burns, Wyoming. The role reports to the head coach and athletics director to support the school’s athletic program and student-athletes.

The individual will assist with scheduling, transportation, event preparation, and program coordination while enforcing district policies and safeguarding equipment. A high school diploma is required and CPR/Coaching certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from parents, patrons or staff and to communicate clearly in writing.
• Basic computer skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in scheduling, providing transportation to contests and events.
• Assist in preparation for events and practices; coordinate with custodial, maintenance and school staff.
• Provide documentation to the athletic administrator for examinations, parental consent and eligibility.
• Provide safeguards for equipment and facilities and ensure proper use of gear.
• Distribute training rules and LCSD#2 athletic handbook to athletes; supervise practices and trips.
• Attend practices, games and other duties as assigned by head coach; ensure athletes are safe on departure.
