Job summary

Redstone Children's Academy is seeking a dedicated Part-time Infant Teacher to join the Mini Movers classroom (infants). Schedule is Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM (20 hours/week). We value a Christ-centered approach and a safe, nurturing environment for infants.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of childcare experience, holds CPR & First Aid certification, and is at least 18 years old. Bright from the Start licensing knowledge and active church membership are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of childcare experience.
• No criminal record.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Knowledge of Bright from the Start licensing rules.
• Active church membership.

Responsibilities

• Promote a Christ-centered environment for spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical growth.
• Assist in supervision, care, and daily classroom functions.
• Respond to each child’s physical and emotional needs through daily routines.
• Implement RCA curriculum with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Record daily care information including snacks and activities.
• Communicate with parents daily in a professional, God-honoring manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom.
• Perform housekeeping duties and assist in other capacities as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Promote a Christ-centered environment where children can develop to their fullest potential- spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically.
• Assist in the overall supervision, care, and daily functions in your classroom.
• Utilize daily routines and cues to respond to each child's individual physical and emotional needs.
• Implement RCA's curriculum with our research-based, pre-planned, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Use observations to challenge and assist children with future activities.
• Record all daily care info for each child including snacks and learning activities.
• Engage in professional and God-honoring communication with each child's parent/guardian each day.
• Observe all rules and regulations at Redstone Children's Academy and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, well-kept classroom that ensures children feel safe and ready to explore and grow with confidence!
• Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom and other common use areas and materials.
• Execute deep cleaning and sanitization of the classroom each evening to ensure a germ-free and organized space for the next morning.
• Maintain overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the RCA Staff Handbook.
• Assist in other capacities that the Director determines is necessary.
