Job summary

Franklin County Schools in Frankfort, Kentucky, is seeking an Assistant Coach for the 2026-2027 season. This part-time position reports to the Head Coach/Athletics Director/Principal and supports coaching and supervision in the sport involved.

Responsibilities include assisting with all phases of coaching, enforcing discipline, and filling in for the Head Coach as needed. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and pass required training and background checks.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED and 21 years of age.
• Licenses/requirements: CPR/AED certification and completed safety training per board policy.
• Criminal records check is clear and compliance with KHSAA/NFHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in all phases of coaching in the sport involved.
• Enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
• Fill in for the Head Coach when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
