Qualifications

• Must possess administrative and organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and the community.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a commercial driver's license with P and S endorsements and drive a school bus.
• Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement athletic policies approved by the Granville County Public Schools Board of Education and ensure staff compliance.
• Understand and apply state, conference and district regulations consistently.
• Teach the established coaching philosophy, skills and techniques as directed by the head coach.
• Attend clinics and participate in scheduled staff meetings as required.
• Maintain discipline and follow guidelines set by the head coach, school and district.
• Assist with transportation and scheduling of practices and games.
• Monitor student-athletes’ grades and conduct; supervise practices and games.
• Ensure athletes are in authorized areas and maintain facility cleanliness and equipment.
