Job summary

UOVO West Palm Beach is seeking a part-time Art Handler/Driver to support day-to-day transportation and on-site activities at our West Palm Beach facility. The role requires 3–5 years of storage/collection management experience and comfort moving a range of art objects, reporting to the Operations Manager.

You will handle packing, loading, installation/de-installation, and paperwork such as bills of lading, labels, and driver logs, while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in storage/collection management of art, with ability to move objects safely.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a bonus and preferred.
• Ability to push/pull up to 150 pounds and carry up to 40 pounds for 90 feet.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail in fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle art objects with proper methods for packaging, loading, and securing for transport.
• Install/de-install artworks in-house or at offsite locations; troubleshoot scope changes.
• Prepare and execute paperwork including bills of lading, labels, and driver logs.
• Receive and release shipments; pack artworks for local, national, and international transport.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and DOT regulations; support internal teams.

Part Time Art Handler/Driver – West Palm, Florida

UOVO seeks a part‑time Art Handler/Driver to support day‑to‑day transportation and offsite activities out of UOVOs West Palm Beach, FL warehouse. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience working with storage/collection management knowledge and will be comfortable moving a wide range of art objects. The art handler/driver will report to the Operations Manager

Core Responsibilities

• Proper handling of art objects, using the appropriate methods and materials for packaging, loading & securing for safe transport
• Install/de‑install artworks in‑house or at offsite locations, often troubleshooting and utilizing critical thinking to solution scope changes
• Preparation and careful execution of paperwork, including bills of lading, labels, driver logs, and detailed condition reports with accompanying photos if necessary
• Receive and release shipments into warehouse facilities
• Pack artworks for local, national and international transportation and storage
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, DOT regulations
• Support to internal teams, as needed
• Weekend, overtime, and holiday work may be necessary; therefore, schedule flexibility is required
• Other projects as assigned by Manager

Qualifications & Skills

• Team Player, able to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented and dynamic environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of installation, packing and art handling
• Excellent communication and attention to detail to both clients and coworkers
• Ability to problem solve and solution onsite issues with the experience to know when to elevate problems to supervisor
• Valid driver’s license; CDL license a bonus
• Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid
• Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead
• Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow
• Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary warehouse equipment

This position requires in‑person, on‑site support at UOVO’s West Palm Beach facility as needed and may include occasional night and weekend work.
