Job summary

Clemson University’s Department of Art seeks highly qualified candidates to fill a pool of part-time lecturers for teaching across Art & Design disciplines. Candidates may teach lower or upper division undergraduate and/or graduate courses, with offerings in spring, summer, and fall terms, and in traditional or online modalities.

Start dates vary according to departmental needs and courses are compensated commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

• M.F.A. or Ph.D. in related Art & Design discipline. Equivalent terminal degrees, foreign degrees, or significant professional experience in a relevant field of study will be considered.
• Prior university or college teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more courses in Art & Design at undergraduate and/or graduate levels as needed.
• Courses may be offered in spring, summer and/or fall terms and in-person or online modalities.
• Adapt instruction to instructional needs and maintain professional standards in classroom settings.
