Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services in Stamford, CT is hiring an Armed Security Operative for a part-time role. Pay is $40 per hour with shifts 8am–4pm, 4pm–12am or 12am–8am.

Responsibilities include armed and unarmed foot/vehicle patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and deterrence of misconduct. Candidates must have prior law enforcement experience, be at least 18 (21 for armed), pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce safety at client sites.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor perimeter and CCTV.
• Escort or assist people as needed and document incidents.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior to client.

Our risk and consulting group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring an Armed Security Operative. The Armed Security Operative will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing reports; deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting, persons as needed
• Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and/or materials/objects to the client
• Communicate and/or document any irregular security‑related or safety‑related incidents

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  *A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Preferred Qualifications:

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
