Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is seeking Armed Security Officers to protect Fort Custer Training Center in Battle Creek, MI. The role involves guarding entry/exit points, patrolling grounds, and maintaining a secure environment for personnel and visitors.

The position requires a valid Michigan CPL and driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass drug screening and a physical agility test. CPR/First Aid/AED certification is encouraged and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• 21+ with Michigan CPL or LEOSA to perform armed security work.
• No felonies per MCL 338.1060.
• Must pass a drug screen at hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must pass a Physical Agility Test within 90 days and annually.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk 8–12 hours.
• Must work indoors or outdoors in all seasons.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Excellent verbal/written/interpersonal skills and fluent English.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with clean record criteria.
• Willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Guard posts at entry/exit points of the local base.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of grounds for safety and security.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
• Check employee, vendor and visitor identifications.
• Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities.
• Follow site-specific post guidelines and report incidents.
• Document daily activities and incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
