Job summary

The Aquatic Assistant position at Lees Summit R-7 School District Aquatic Center is an hourly, part-time role supporting the Director in delivering a safe, engaging aquatic program for staff, students and the community. The role requires CPR/First Aid certification and strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills to supervise participants and assist with lesson planning, records and scheduling.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Basic math skills for reports and lesson plans.
• Ability to supervise students aged 6 months to 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day facility operation.
• Assist with routine in-service trainings for Lifeguards and Instructors.
• Monitor safety and learning environment for students and public.
• Operate registration/booking system and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare lesson plans and reports for district guidelines.
• Supervise staff and programs to ensure efficient operation.
