The Georgia Aquarium, Inc. is seeking a Part Time Aquarist Apprentice to join the Aquatic Sustainability team at the off-site Animal Care Facility.
You will learn basic aquariology, follow daily operational tasks, and support the team in implementing care and quarantine protocols under supervision. During training you will gain hands-on experience in animal care standards, safety procedures, and personal performance goals, contributing to SEA Sustain Goal S.3.5.3a and helping advance live animal

The Part Time Aquarist Apprentice will work with a diverse team of other Aquarists in the implementation and evaluation of animal care and quarantine protocols at the off-site Animal Care Facility and will be responsible for implementing daily operational requirements as articulated by the Aquatic Sustainability management team. The Part Time Aquarist Apprentice will work with the team to learn basic aquariology, complete required training, learn and understand safety procedures, as well as meeting personal performance goals and objectives. Once trained, the Part Time Aquarist Apprentice will work primarily to further SEA Sustain Goal S.3.5.3a in support of live animal food aquaculture.
