Job summary

Gofractional is seeking a Part-Time, fully remote CMCS developer to support DoD and US Air Force government customers. You will analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and implement solutions within a structured lifecycle and provide production support.

Ideal candidates will have strong mainframe skills (Z/OS, JCL, COBOL, FOCUS) and experience with MS Office tools. You will collaborate with teams across time zones while delivering reliable, well-documented software solutions.

Essential Job Functions

• Analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and implement solutions for the CMCS system - DOD, US Air Force and government customers.
• Provide production support
• Provide system documentation
• Provide assistance to less experienced staff.
• Business challenges include development of new functionality as well as break-fix analysis and support.
• Work independently within a structured development lifecycle.
• Understand complex business requires and interface well with other DOD and government systems.

Qualifications

Minimal Position Requirements

• A strong knowledge of the Z/OS environment including TSO/ISPF
• Knowledge programming languages in order of importance
• FOCUS – This system is written primarily in Mainframe FOCUS
