Job summary

Display Artprojects seeks a part-time Animal Shelter Custodian in Franklin, NJ. Under supervision, you will perform custodial and maintenance tasks for the animal shelter and assist the Animal Control Officer.

Responsibilities include cleaning kennels, feeding animals, general office and restroom cleaning, grounds maintenance, and occasional stray animal pickup. Requires experience with animals, basic MS Office, and a valid NJ driver's license. Open until filled.

Department: Police Division: Animal Control Hourly Range: $16.00/hr. Maximum of 25 hours per week. Closing Date: Open Until Filled

GENERAL PURPOSE

Under immediate supervision of the Animal Control Officer, this position performs custodial and maintenance functions for the animal shelter and assists the Animal Control Officer in related duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans kennels and cat cages.
• Feeds animals.
• Cleans office, work room and restroom.
• Maintains grounds around animal shelter and ensures proper garbage and waste control.
• Occasionally assists the Animal Control Officer in the pickup of stray animals.
• Filing.
• Answers Telephones.
• Assists with public.
• Other related tasks/duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess some experience in handling animals.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office.
• Must possess valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
