Job summary

Jefferson College in Missouri is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the School of Science & Health. This part-time role pays $690 per credit hour with a load not to exceed 18 hours per academic year (August–May).

Responsibilities include teaching assigned courses, preparing syllabi, maintaining attendance and grades, and supporting program development. A Master’s degree or a vocational certificate is required, with further state requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the subject matter field for transfer programs.
• Or a valid vocational certificate for assignments in vocational-technical programs.

Responsibilities

• teach classes assigned by the appropriate dean and Associate Dean with the load not to exceed 18 hours (August through May).
• prepare and file with the Associate Dean or program director course syllabi for new and revised courses and follow guides for established courses.
• keep accurate records of class attendance and grades and submit them to the Registrar.
• promote student participation in extracurricular activities.
• assume responsibility for enforcing College rules and regulations as related to student conduct.
