Job summary

Allied Universal in Kahului, HI is seeking a Part Time Airport Security Officer to provide customer service, conduct patrols, and uphold security procedures at the airport.

The role offers flexible daytime shifts, a pay rate of $26.50 per hour, and opportunities to grow within a trusted security team. Candidates must be 18+, pass background and drug tests, and meet licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or government representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned airport property; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Monitor assigned areas for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations, and report observations according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control, crowd management, traffic direction, and emergency response as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors, airport personnel, and/or responding authorities.
