Qualifications

• Master’s in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area.
• Knowledge of and ability to appraise the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Teaching lower-division General Agriculture courses.
• Advancing equitable student learning through exemplary instruction.
• Teaching may occur in classroom, lab, farm, or field settings.
• Informing students of course requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance expectations.
• Preparing and grading assignments, examinations, and projects; informing students of progress.
• Maintaining attendance and other records per district policy.
• Developing, implementing, and assessing student-learning outcomes for courses and programs.
• Engaging in data inquiry and self-assessment to improve student success and equity.
• Participating in professional development and flex activities.
• Maintaining current knowledge in agricultural sciences and teaching strategies.
