Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking is hiring a part-time After School Children's Cooking Instructor in Jacksonville, FL. You will teach one-hour cooking classes on-site at various locations, guiding kids 3–18 through hands-on, delicious, healthy recipes while exploring world ingredients and cultures.

Responsibilities include preparing lessons, shopping for ingredients, and reviewing weekly curricula; you will engage and manage groups of 8–14 students, emphasize safe kitchen skills and healthy eating habits,

Qualifications

Availability at least 2 days a week (Mon-Fri, 1–5 pm)
Commitment to teaching full sessions (4–12 weeks)
ServSafe Food Handler Certification (can obtain before teaching)
Ability to engage 8–14 children with diverse backgrounds
Background check required
Reliable transportation
Timely team communication
Punctual and reliable
No professional cooking experience required
Experience with kids is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead hour-long on-site cooking classes for children 3–18 at various locations.
Create tasty, healthy recipes and teach ingredients and cultural foods hands-on.
Review weekly curricula, prepare for instruction and shop for fresh ingredients.
Teach basic kitchen skills and the history/ geography behind each recipe.
Encourage and guide kids to create a new recipe each class and develop healthy habits.
