Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. in Highland Park, IL is seeking a Group Leader for our before and after school programs for the 2026/2027 school year. This part-time role fits around the school day with two daily blocks: 6:00-8:30am and 2:45-6:00pm.

You will lead groups of students through engaging activities, prioritize safety, maintain a tidy space, and foster welcoming, inclusive environments for children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.
