Job summary

University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry seeks a part-time adjunct faculty member for the Department of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). The position is non-benefit eligible, non-tenure track, at Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professor rank, with an expected schedule of 2 full days per week.

The incumbent will supervise residents, guide complex cases, review patient records, and contribute to integrating new technologies and innovations into the clinical curriculum

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD or equivalent.
• Eligibility for Missouri Dental Licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents in clinical sessions and approve planned treatment and treatment plans.
• Guide complex restorative cases and collaborate with dental specialists as needed.
• Review patient records assigned to residents for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
• Assist residents with digital technologies and Axium workflow.
• Evaluate residents' clinical skills, knowledge and professional development.
• Lead by example in clinical practice with high patient care standards.
