Job summary

Arkansas State University-Beebe is seeking a part-time adult education instructor to help students acquire basic reading, math, and language skills and to support earning a high school diploma. You will also teach employability skills, including digital and financial literacy.

The position is located at the Augusta Public Library with occasional travel to the Searcy Campus, offering 8-10 hours per week and typically 2 days of work per week.

Qualifications

• Must have a four-year college degree and a current Arkansas Teaching License.
• Endorsement in Adult Education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the adult education classroom, create student learning plans, develop and teach group lessons and activities, aligning instruction with CCR standards.
• Administer the TABE pre- and post-tests for all students, including completion of intake paperwork.
• Enroll students in the online learning platform and monitor their progress weekly.
• Turn in pre-/post- test paperwork and communicate with the testing administrator weekly.
• Research new methods/materials to support CCR standards and help students earn their high school diploma.
