Nevada State University invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate nursing students in clinical and skills lab settings, alongside full-time faculty. Part-time openings cover medical-surgical, pediatrics, maternity, ICU, community health, and mental health.

Formación

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of one year of RN clinical practice within the past three years.
• Unencumbered/Unrestricted Nevada RN License.
• Evidence of teaching commitment and ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Competency in use of educational technology.

Responsabilidades

• Implements the school's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical or lab teaching.
• Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Maintains availability to staff at the agencies.
• Provides documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
• Remains available for remediation of students as needed.
• Keeps current knowledge of agency/clinical policies with Nevada State and agency staff guidance.
• Corrects and returns homework, quizzes, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• Utilizes computer technology and adheres to applicable regulatory rules.
• Attends required development and orientation sessions during contracted periods.
