Job summary

SUNY Plattsburgh is seeking part-time adjunct instructors committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Successful candidates will be expected to engage with a diverse student body and contribute to a campus focused on inclusion and world-ready graduates.

Applicants should have an M.A. degree; Ph.D. preferred, and the ability to use Moodle for online or blended courses. Safety training is required for some lab/theater/science adjunct roles during the first week of each semester.

Qualifications

• M.A. degree required; successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Ph.D. preferred and the ability to use Moodle to provide online courses and/or support regular courses is desirable.
• Some Adjunct Instructors assigned to laboratories, theaters, or studios (art, theater, science) must participate in mandatory safety training before they can begin work.
