Job summary

Lone Star College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Adult Education courses including GED, ESOL, Pre‑Algebra and math/reading support at multiple times and locations. The role is part‑time and grant‑funded, with a max of five classes per academic year.

You will develop engaging lessons, follow established syllabi, and advise students as needed. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience, plus 15 hours of Adult Education‑specific PD each program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• 15 hours of Adult Education‑specific PD/training required each program year.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Adult Education courses including GED, ESOL, Pre‑Algebra and Math/Reading support at various times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of material.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Follows course syllabus and institutional guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students before/after class or by appointment.
