Job summary

The University Of New Mexico-Gallup Branch, Math, Business, Science & Technology Division, seeks qualified temporary adjunct faculty to teach lower-division courses (1000–2000 level) for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Positions are contingent on enrollment and department needs and may involve evening or weekend sessions.

Instructors will handle face-to-face teaching, content development, grading, and student assessment, reporting grades to the division chair as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the discipline or subfield for which you are applying.
• At least one year of successful teaching experience at the community college level.
• Relevant industry experience.
• A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the university’s mission to serve local and global communities.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower-division courses (1000–2000 level) Face-to-face and/or develop course content.
• Deliver content and deliver assignments, quizzes and exams.
• Grade assignments, report grades, and assess student learning as outlined by the division chair.
