Qualifications

• Master's degree in the relevant teaching discipline or closely related field.
• Must hold a valid teaching license/certification in Elementary education, Special education, middle grades education, Secondary English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Reading, History, or Agricultural Education.
• Demonstrated content knowledge and, where applicable, relevant professional or teaching experience in the assigned subject area.
• Ability to meet credentialing standards required by the accrediting bodies (GaPSC, SACSCOC, etc.).
• Experience teaching in a traditional classroom setting and teaching;
• Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into teaching and supervise field-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the assigned program area.
• Meet classes as scheduled and notify Chair or Dean in advance of absences.
• Remain accessible to students through email, phone, or office hours; arrange additional appointments.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and submit final grades and attendance.
• Supervise clinical and field placements in partnership schools as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty to engage in scholarly activities and service-learning initiatives.
• Align coursework with state standards and accreditation requirements.
• Contribute to department and college service, including committee work.
