Roosevelt University’s College of Science, Health, and Pharmacy seeks adjunct instructors to teach General Biology and General or Organic Chemistry for the Fall 2026 semester.

Positions are part‑time with a per‑course salary of $3,982 and may involve teaching up to two sections per semester at Chicago and/or Schaumburg campuses. Start date is August 15, 2026, ending December 20, 2026.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in biological science, health science, biochemistry, chemistry or a related field.
• Prior university-level teaching experience.
• Experience with at-risk and/or first-generation college students is preferred.
• Experience teaching the specific courses described above.

Responsibilities

• Weekly instruction in face-to-face lecture, discussion and/or laboratory.
• Regular interaction with other course instructors and course coordinator as applicable.
• Successful retention of students by means of effective pedagogy.
• Clear and timely communications.
• Timely submission of all grades.
