Job summary

Imperial Valley College is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach Exercise for the Developmentally Disabled (Non-Credit) on an ongoing pool basis, at 75.00 per hour in Imperial, CA.

Under the supervision of the appropriate Dean and Division Chair, you will deliver instruction per approved curriculum, prepare assignments, evaluate outcomes, and maintain records. Prior appropriate experience and sensitivity to diverse student needs are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education of students with specific or multiple disabilities or related fields.
• Associate degree with listed majors and four years of experience providing specialized instruction or services to persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines.
• Conduct classes, prepare syllabus, evaluate students, and assess learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records (grades, attendance, syllabi) by published deadlines.
• Uphold professional conduct and ethics in the classroom.
• Advise students on academic matters and maintain competency in the field.
