Job summary

The University of Texas at San Antonio Carlos Alvarez College of Business invites applications for a part-time, fixed-term track (FTT) Lecturer position beginning Fall 2026. The department seeks qualified instructors to teach Accounting courses in a flexible schedule on campus.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree (or higher) with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline and have five years of teaching or relevant work experience in accounting, tax, and audit.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in teaching discipline or Master’s with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Five years of teaching and/or work experience in accounting, tax, and/or audit.
• Ability to teach locally in San Antonio on the main campus of UTSA.
• Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets department and college standards.
• Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments.
• Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
• Assist/mentor students as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
