Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) invites part-time faculty to teach accounting for spring 2027. The Lecturer will conduct in-person undergraduate and/or graduate courses, prepare outlines, and assess students according to departmental syllabi.

Required are a Master’s in Accounting (or related field with 18 graduate hours in Accounting) or a PhD in Accounting; CPA is preferred. Pay is per class: $3,000 with Master's, $3,500 with PhD, with schedule based on course load.

• Ability to deliver instruction in-person.
• Ability to learn, use, and incorporate instructional technology.
• Willingness to teach evening sections.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and cultures.
• Adhere to University policies and NCAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course outlines and teach based on syllabi.
• Prepare and administer meaningful assessments.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure curriculum outcomes.
• Be available outside class to help students learn.
