Job summary

The CU Denver Business School is seeking applications for a Lecturer in Accounting. This posting will establish a pool for part-time, non-tenure-track roles for 2025-2026.

Appointments will be semester-by-semester based on teaching needs and will be in person, hybrid, remote or online formats. The Lecturer will teach accounting at undergraduate or graduate levels, deliver tailored instruction to diverse language and cultural backgrounds, prepare rigorous lesson plans, and assess student progress

Qualifications

• Master's or terminal degree in finance, accounting, payroll, fiscal reporting, fiscal management, financial forecasting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of significant professional experience in the discipline related to the teaching assignment.
• Willingness to teach undergraduate or graduate accounting classes in various modalities.
• Ability to report student offenses and adhere to program policies.

Responsibilities

• Teach accounting at undergraduate or graduate level in various modalities (in person, hybrid, remote).
• Prepare balanced lesson plans and assess student progress according to curricular objectives.
• Adhere to program policies by reporting student offenses (plagiarism, cheating, absences, etc.).
