Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting.
• Ph.D or CPA is preferred.
• Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
• High level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching.
• All schedules require office hours, and some may require evening and/or weekend hours

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery of their discipline and commitment to Broward College's mission to foster student success, achievement and persistence.
• Employ teaching methods to accommodate various levels of academic preparation and integrate technology.
• Facilitate needs of different learners with responsive pedagogical techniques across programs.
• Examine and adapt instructional practices to engage and support students.
• Engage in course preparation, review of outlines, and syllabi preparation.
• Provide prompt and constructive feedback during office hours and on assessments.
• Respond to student emails promptly.
• Meet reporting deadlines for grades, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
• Participate in service to the college and community.
